The Sikhs in Scotland Oral History was dedicated to record 100 pioneers who came to Scotland. Helping future generations have a more vivid and accurate picture of events, feelings, attitudes and ways of life which have been hidden from history.

Interviews were taken at the Anderson Mel-Milaap Centre or the interviewee’s home (Interviewer: R K Dhanda) which made it more relaxing and often helped to recall memories. A life story approach was followed through the interview - When and where born; Family background; Childhood; Schooldays; Leisure; Work; Retirement; up to the present day.

We thank all those involved in sharing their life experiences for the oral history section of the ‘Sikhs in Scotland’ project. Please use the menu to the right to listen to sample interviews form the DVD (available from the Anderson Mel Milaap Centre in Glasgow).
